First The CW introduced us to Jane The Virgin, and now TV One is bringing us a different type of virgin–A Born Again one! TV One snuck the pilot to its new scripted series Born Again Virgin (BAV) in on us right after the 46th Annual NAACP Image Awards. The series centers around 34 year old blogger, Jenna, who has been in a string of disastrous relationships. She decides to become a “born again virigin” and document her sexless escapades while pursuing romance and chronicling the sex lives of her two best friends, Tara and Kelly.
The cast may not have any big star power, but it seems to be a solid, and well written piece of work! Danielle Nicolet has been on television for years, but has yet to have that starring role she needs to be a headliner. This seems like it will be her time. You can also expect to see model/actress, Eva Marcel as “Tara” and Gabrielle Dennis as “Kelly.” You might remember her best as Janay Price, the mother of Derwin’s son on BET’s The Game. Tank makes a guest appearance as a possible love interest and foil to Jenna’s celibacy. He is definitely eye candy for the ladies! The show seems like a cross between Sex & The City and Single Ladies. Check out the pilot episode of Born Again Virgin below, and get ready to tune into its official series premiere this summer!
[…] got a chance to speak with the ever so talented Gabrielle Dennis about her beauty secrets during and in between filming. After catching up with this beautifully […]
I saw the only episode on TV One. I wasn’t really feeling it. Everything is very cliche’. It’s one of those “I’ve seen this before” shows. Nicolet is new to me. Ive never seen her before but her acting was good. Marcille, as usual, is an over actor. She will never be believable to me. She appears to be focusing more on how she looks more than anything and it shows. I love Dennis in this role but she is no longer with the show.
I cant wait to see a full episode it seems like it has great potential
should be interesting
ummmm yea idk if Ill be watching
Interesting
So I have to check this out!
