Boutique Spotlight: Modish Boutique

The Fashion Industry has transformed into one of the more common and popular occupations in society today, as many ” fashionista’s” and retail junkies have left their unfulfilling 9 to 5 corporate jobs, following their dreams by creating a stylish clothing line, store or the more common route owning an online boutique.

Angela Jackson is the fashionista, who decided to fulfill her dreams, and create Modish Boutique where she is the CEO and Founder. Modish Boutique is an online women’s boutique geared towards the classy eclectic female whose style can vary from day to day. The boutique’s slogan is “following what is currently popular and fashionable,” which is exactly the direction Jackson wants the boutique to be geared towards.

Modish Boutique is fairly new as it began launching in December of last year. I asked Johnson to explain what ideal styles does Modish represent or capture to a customer. “Well overall my style is like a Zara style, and I noticed a lot of boutiques and upcoming clothing stores were all the same sticking to one style and what they think is trending, however I wanted to bring that modern, eclectic classy look which I want Modish to exude to online customers.” Jackson then added” “ we do carry trendy items because that is our motto, but also we do have those stand out pieces.”

As an up and coming online boutique it sometimes can be overwhelming and very competitive especially in women’s fashion, so I wanted to know how and when did Johnson know she was prepared to launch modish online.

“Well I’ve always been into fashion and I started out in accounting, which is also what I went to school for, after ten years I realized it wasn’t good enough for me but would be perfect for my boutique. After accounting I started off in fashion an fashion and image consultant, but as I beginning to start a family I realized that it took up way too much time for one person; watching my mentor from now to today as she still is traveling as a fashion consultant, it just become to hectic for me.”

Jackson then added “I’ve always saw myself owning a boutique, but not necessarily a physical location because so many people come and go , so I decided to go into the online boutique route because with social media outlet today like Instagram it’s much easier to access and advertise.”

Later on in the interview Junior Fashion Editor, Ty Coleman began to ask her how she would describe her boutique and the three words she said with no hesitation were sophisticated, stylish, and different. All things fashionistas strive to find the expand their wardrobe.

Angela strives to provide the women of class of style the exact two, class and style. Miss Jonshon also stated how she is a firm believer in following your dreams even if it means taking a leap of faith.

Modish boutique is one of many boutiques we love for their and stylish looks. We are more than pleased and had a lovely time interviewing the fabulous Angela Jackson.
