This has definitely been one interesting road when it comes to former Olympian, Bruce Jenner and his male to female transition. For years, many assumed his transitioning was a rumor made by the tabloids to downplay the already emasculated patriarch of the Kardashian--Jenner Clan. Well the rumors became fact when Bruce sat down with Diane Sawyer last month and revealed to the world he is ready to become the woman he was meant to be. Bruce is definitely coming out--as Caitlyn Jenner--and on the cover of Vanity Fair!
Caitlyn is well…pretty. We knew Bruce was transitioning but no one expected it to be so sudden. The pictures and shoot really seem to want emphasize Caitlyn as a strong and elegant woman, embracing her femininity with bras, braziers, neglige, and a long, elegant dress. According to Vanity Fair:
Pulitzer Prize–winning contributing editor and author of Friday Night Lights Buzz Bissinger, who was given unfettered access to Jenner and her family, chronicles the tensions, traumas, and courage that shaped Caitlyn into the woman you see today. Annie Leibovitz shoots the first portraits of Caitlyn, which were taken in her Malibu home.
In the issue, Caitlyn discusses in depth her journey, telling Bissinger:
“If I was lying on my deathbed and I had kept this secret and never ever did anything about it, I would be lying there saying, ‘You just blew your entire life.’ ”
Well it is definitely a new day. Not just for Caitlyn, but for transgendered people everywhere. The revolution indeed has a face…and honestly it’s not bad looking. Good luck Caitlyn.
