Caitlyn Jenner must be having the best week ever! First, she makes her debut on the cover of Vanity Fair. Next, she’s awarded with the Arthur Ashe Award for Courage at this year’s ESPY’s, and now she’s reportedly going to be the new face of MAC Cosmetics.
A source told Page Six:
“They’ve been debating the pros and cons and whether it would be a good fit or not. There’s a camp that’s so excited and another that’s a bit more cautious.”
Page Six also ran into John Demsey, Estée Lauder’s group president, during the CFDA Awards this past Monday where he shared his thoughts about Caitlyn’s Vanity Fair cover.
“It was simply amazing, iconic, epic, disruptive, bold, glamorous. There’s never been someone with that level of celebrity who’s ever done something so bold and so visible in public, and it’s done very elegantly and glamorously.”
John Demsey also signed Kendall Jenner as the face of Estée Lauder.
So, will we be seeing Caitlyn Jenner in MAC commercials and print ads? Do you think America is ready for such a high level stepping stone given the controversy Caitlyn has dealt with throughout this whole ordeal?
