#CelebrityCrush- Michaela Coel

We love Chewing Gum! No we are not talking Spearamint or Bubblelicious–but the hit Netflix series created and written by British comedienne, Michaela Coel!

Chewing Gum is nothing short of hilarious and stars Michaela as “Tracey Gordon,” a religious, restricted, twenty-four year old virgin who works in a convenient store and lives with her Uber-Christian mother and even more religious sister (who we suspect may be on the autism spectrum)! Tracey yearns to lose her virginity and the hijinks ensue as she goes on various dates, meets a lot of wierdos, and has plenty of misadventures with her family, friends, and neighbors.

Michaela Coel as “Tracey Gordon” in Netflix’s “Chewing Gum” comedy series

Michaela Coel is to the United Kingdom what Issa Rae is to the United States. Yep, she is just as good and talented; and her show debuted on Netflix before Issa’s made waves on HBO. We love seeing women, especially Black women making moves wherever they are on the globe and it only makes it better when they are pretty. Michaela’s eyes and smile are to die for! She  definitely knows this as she often uses make up and other props to only accentuate her features to the point of exaggeration. However, the most attractive quality in our opinion is Michaela’s ability to make us laugh. They say women love a man who can make them laugh, well the same goes for men. The Chewing Gum star makes you laugh so hard in fact that you will be crying and checking in at your local emergency room from side splitting and gut busting laughter!

Chewing Gum is currently airing its second season on Netflix and we could not be happier! Tracey Gordon–we mean Michaela Coel–we love you! That is why you are the week’s #CelebrityCrush! Tune in you guys and watch both seasons! Happy viewing!

Hey Mikey!

WHO AM I? That’s probably what you’re thinking? It’s simple I’m this generation’s “Dear Abby!” I was raised in the Fourth Ward of Atlanta, educated in the School of Hard Knocks, and rescued by the concrete and steel of New York City. Life at best will always be bittersweet. The sooner you accept that, the better off you’ll be. I’d prefer to be on your sweeter side. Everyone needs a listening ear, extra shoulder, and open arms when life gets rough. I’m your new best friend, where it all goes south remember I’m a mouse click or tweet away. Hang in there kids, you’re gonna love kickin’ it with me!!! -Michael Jonvier
