Singer Chris Brown was sentenced an additional 131 days in jail at his court hearing on Friday. After violating his probation for the Rihanna case, Brown was given more jail time from the judge.
Late last year Brown violated his probation by getting into an altercation outside of a D.C. hotel, after leaving a special event. Brown admitted to his violation, which caused the judge to give him a one year jail sentence. Since he did spend 116 days in rehab and 59 days behind bars, the judge is giving him credit for those days spent.
But Brown might be out sooner then we all expected, because supposedly the L.A. County Sheriff’s Department are going to release people from jail early because the prisons are overcrowded. Inmates sentenced to one year after 240 days, will most likely get out early. Since Brown received 2 days credit for every day he has spent in the cell it adds up to 234 days, which is a few days away from the 240 requirement.
The judge also decided that Chris needs to seek therapy sessions three times a week, because of his bipolar disorder. He must also take random drug testing three times a week.
Let’s just pray that he gets the help that he needs.
