Kriss Kross will make ya jump, jump…
In case you’re a child of the ‘80s and ‘90s, you know all too well about baggy jeans and twists in men’s hair. Chris Brown and rapper Tyga take it back to the ‘90s for their album artwork for “Fan of a Fan” along with a Feb. 24 release date.
With the single “Ayo” already released, rapper Tyga reportedly has joined MTV for a reality show that will help launch “Fan of a Fan.” He encountered yet another delay for his “The Gold Album: 18th Dynasty.”
According to MTV, Tyga took to Twitter and revealed that his album want be released on the 27th as it initially was scheduled for:
Lil Wayne is going through similar circumstances which led to release of the mixtape called “Sorry For The Wait 2.”
Keeping the ‘90s theme relevant, the artwork shows bold colors, “Martin” esque lettering, and Kid-n-Play type facial expressions are really “cool,” for lack of a better word. The album was originally called “Fan of a Fan 2” but was reduced to “Fan of a Fan: The Album.” No tracklist has been unveiled yet.
Tyga and Brown teamed up for 2010’s “Fan of a Fan” for the Grammy nominated single “Deuces.” The song peaked at number nine on Billbaord R&B/Hip-Hop songs.
Here’s an area of concern–Chris Brown is a talented artist whose music often gets “lost” in his reported troubles. It’s almost like you want to separate the two so he could “win” and redeem himself in a matter of speaking.
Tyga isn’t exactly “known” for being a “go-to” premiere rapper but to give credit? He really does make a good club song or a great featured artist. Don’t act like when you hear “Rack City,” you don’t start moving from side-to-side. With those factors considered, it’ll be interesting to see how this new joint venture pans out.
The duo will join Grammy nominated singer Trey Songz for the upcoming “Between The Sheets Tour” that is set to kickoff Jan. 29 at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York. Purchase your tickets here.
