It’s hard to believe that Christian Bale will not be playing Batman after his trilogy-long run. Bale is passing on the cape to Ben Affleck for the upcoming Zack Synder film Batman v. Superman: Dawn Of Justice. But is Christian regretting his decision??
Christian Bale admitted to being jealous of Ben Affleck becoming the new caped vigilante:
“I’ve got to admit initially, even though I felt that it was the right time to stop, there was always that bit of me going, ‘Oh go on… let’s do another.’ So when I heard there was someone else doing it, there was a moment where I just stopped and stared into nothing for half an hour. But I’m 40. The fact that I’m jealous of someone else playing Batman… I think I should have gotten over it by now.”
But being that Christian is a good sport, he gave Ben Affleck some advice on playing the dark knight of Gotham:
“I haven’t spoken with Ben, but I emailed him offering bits of advice that I learned the hard way. I would imagine he is doing everything he can to avoid doing anything that I did.”
The fans of Batman and the Dark Knight trilogy are putting the pressure on Mr. Affleck to fill in pretty big shoes that Bale left behind. Guess we will find out if he’s got what it takes to carry the torch when Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice hits theaters Spring 2016.
