Coke Boys Member Chinx Drugs Gunned Down In Queens

Sad news in the rap world as fans and peers learned a member of French Montana’s Coke Boys was killed early Sunday morning.

Chinx Drugs (nè Lionel Pickens, 31) was shot and killed in a drive-by shooting in Queens after leaving a performance in New York. Chinx’s representative Chanel Rae released a statement:

“Chinx was one of the most talented, professional and determined rappers this industry had to offer. Furthermore, he was a friend.”

imageReports say that police found Chinx and a friend inside a car at around 4 a.m. on Sunday. The rapper was allegedly shot 15 times and his friend was shot in the back but managed to crawl out of the car and call 9-1-1.

Police responded to a 911 call in Briarwood around 4 a.m., where they found the two victims in a Porsche on Queens Boulevard and 84th Drive. Pickens was transported to Jamaica Medical Center with gunshot wounds to his torso, where he was pronounced dead.

It’s such a sad story. Chinx was scheduled to release his debut album this year. Musicians and friends posted to social media with their shock and condolences including French Montana, Meek Mill, and Khloe Kardashian. It has also been rumored recently that Chinx was dating Khloe Kardashian’s best friend Malika Haqq.
