Confidence, passion, and determination will take you very far. And those three ingredients have allowed the success that Princess has now.
Princess is a great example of what happens when you believe in yourself and go for it! Conversing with Princess was motivating and inspiring, our conversation flowed very organically. One of the many things that we highlighted was the presence of social media and how you can easily be judge by what you post. Some may look at Princess, and make an assumption that she became successful or a nurse overnight.
Not realizing it was the DETERMINATION to succeed and accomplishing her personal goals that got her this far. Many may know her as a fun, fashionable party girl. She’s focused and determined as well! Jumping into lanes that are dominated by men, Princess doesn’t let anyone or anything stand in her way! And with that attitude, it pushed Princess to open up a club in the southside of Chicago, Illinois.
Let’s be honest. When you enter most clubs you see women bartending or being waitresses. But not this boss babe. She wanted to shake the game up and be the one collecting the check!! I must say, I respect her for that.
Not only is she in the food & bar industry, but she’s also a nurturer and has a love for healthcare, in which she recently received her Doctorate. Talk about Motivation and showcasing anything is possible with hard work and dedication.
I asked Princess about her nursing journey and what some of her struggles were.
Princess: Although, my nursing journey wasn’t easy. It was worth it! I was determined to finish, even after taking breaks, being doubted, and unsure if I could really do it!!
Now that Princess isn’t living in Chicago anymore, I wanted to know how Atlanta was treating her and if she felt that moving to Atlanta was the right decision. I had recently noticed that she purchased a beautiful home.
Princess: Yes, Moving to Atlanta, has been the best decision. I’m receiving so much support from the community and Atlanta has been very inspiring and welcoming. I’ve built a lot of relationships. I also plan to open a bar establishment, as well.
Me: If I was to ask your best friend 3 adjectives to describe you. What would she say?
Princess: She would say I’m DRIVEN, CARING, and SPOILED.
Although I don’t know the spoiled side of Princess, I can definitely understand and see the drive. She’s taken the career of being a nurse to a whole different level by teaching her 6 signature strategies to make 6 figures as a Registered Nurse.
With all that, she’s accomplished. I was curious about any advice that she may have for other women.
Me: They’re women out there that look up to you in the healthcare system. What advice would you give them?
Princess: 1. Keep GOD first! 2.Bet on YOURSELF! 3. NEVER give up! 4. Ignore NAYSAYERS!
I think her advice is straightforward, our success is dependent on our hard work and how much we invest in ourselves.
As our conversation moved along, I had to ask her about her style. She’s not afraid to create looks and walk-in her lane. Never following trends, but staying true to her self identity. Fashion can’t be defined, and there’s no right answer. And although you may see her draped with designer bags, and shoes that don’t describe her style. I was glad to hear her say because social media has a way of saying that the designer brands is the only way to showcase your sense of fashion.
Me: I asked Princess, how do you define your style. Because I think you’re fashionable and great at creating looks. The ability to create looks showcase that you’re a woman of style.
Princess: I’m an individual, I wear what I want. I prefer to purchase stylish yet affordable clothing. More importantly, I like to support and shop with minority-owned boutiques. I mix my high-end bags and shoes with my affordable pieces. I have a shoe and bag habit. My favorite handbag designer is CHANEL.
Me: Tell me one of your favorite shoe designers?
Princess: I would have to say Christian Louboutin, I have over 100 pairs. And my favorite style would be the round toes and platform styles.
I totally understand the love of a bad bag and shoe, us ladies love our accessories it just makes an outfit look so good!
