CREED! What Are You Fighting For?

Everyone who is anyone, knows the story of Rocky Balboa (Sylvester Stallone) and his claim to fame as the greatest cinematic boxer of our times. In fact, when you think of boxing he comes into play alongside actual boxers like Muhummad Ali, Joe Frazier, and Sugar Ray Leonard. Let’s not forget though that Rocky had a rivalry of the ages with one other boxer, Apollo Creed. He and Rocky went from enemies, to rivals, and eventually friends. Sadly, the character has passed and left behind a son, Adonis Johnson Creed (Michael B. Jordan). Enter Creed, a true coming of age story of a young man determined to honor his father’s legacy and follow in his footsteps. Adonis grew up never really knowing his father and tracks down Rocky to train him against a new boxer stronger than any fighter his father or Rocky has faced. Rocky, reluctantly agrees, believing he can be just as great a man as his father was.

Hey Mikey!

WHO AM I? That’s probably what you’re thinking? It’s simple I’m this generation’s “Dear Abby!” I was raised in the Fourth Ward of Atlanta, educated in the School of Hard Knocks, and rescued by the concrete and steel of New York City. Life at best will always be bittersweet. The sooner you accept that, the better off you’ll be. I’d prefer to be on your sweeter side. Everyone needs a listening ear, extra shoulder, and open arms when life gets rough. I’m your new best friend, where it all goes south remember I’m a mouse click or tweet away. Hang in there kids, you’re gonna love kickin’ it with me!!! -Michael Jonvier
