Accomplished actor and the turn-up king himself Cuba Gooding Jr. files for divorce from his school teacher wife Sara Kapfer of 22 years.
The past couple shares 3 children together; two of whom are adults and one minor 10-year-old daughter Piper. Sara filed a petition for separation in August 2014 and yet the couple still spent time together with Sara even recently accompanied Cuba to The Weinstein Company and Netflix’s Golden Globes party at the Beverly Hilton Hotel.
No word on what was the reason for the final decision but I’m party sue that the initial separation had something to do with Cuba’s repeatedly drunk moments. Earlier last year a Page Six source revealed while shirtless in Miami, “He was running around telling people how he and his wife are separated [and] how she was his high school sweetheart. He was a mess,”.
TMZ reports, the “America Crime Story” star seeks joint legal and physical custody of their youngest child and is willing to offer spousal support. The only stipulation is Cuba, doesn’t want Sara to get any of his earnings after her separation filling in 2014–meaning he keeps all his assets from that date forward. Which I think is a fair request.
