Get Ready for A-Lister’s from today’s R&B and Rap world at this year’s New Orleans Jazz and Heritage Festival. The annual musical showcase will sound of April 22nd – May 1st. Now granted New Orleans is known for its seafood, great music, and the overall culture, first time attendees can expect just about every genre of music which will promote the ultimate unity.
Focusing more in the realm of R&B and Rap, fans can look forward to seeing Jazmine Sullivan, J. Cole, Snoop Dogg, Mystikal, Janelle Monae, Maxwell, Flo Rida, Nick Jonas, The Isley Brother, Stevie Wonder, Ms. Lauryn Hill, and New Orleans own Big Freedia will all be lined up to perform. **NolaJazzFest**
Tickets are on sale now for the April 22nd kickoff with single tickets maxing out at $65 dollars. However, since the festival will span over two weekends, natives and out-of-towners will have their pick of the following: Big Chief VIP Experience, Grand Marshal VIP Pass, and Krewe of Jazz Fest VIP Pass. There’s also the option for a travel package plan.
Most of the urban acts, if not all, are slated to perform on the Congo Square Stage roughly in the latter part of the afternoon (2:00) and the evening (7:00). The NoJazzFest.com will have a seven day schedule for the complete line up of all acts taking place at the New Orleans Fair Grounds.
