New Oxygen reality television show Preachers of L.A. has been receiving a lot of attention but not necessarily for the right reasons. High ranking Bishop T.D. Jakes spoke about the show stating that he earned his wealth on his own dime, not on the dime of his parishioners.
We knew it was only a matter of time before the rogue of the Preachers of L.A., Deitrick Haddon himself, weighed in on the criticism. He called into radio station Praise 102.5 to shed a little light on the show. He says they received the response that they expected and that they “Calculated the stir”.
Of Bishop T.D. Jakes’ feedback, Haddon says:
“I have the absolute utmost respect for Bishop TD Jakes and what he represents. I considered him one of our generals in this generation. I was a bit taken back and shocked when I seen his view on the show, being that he’s a forefather in unorthodox, unconventional methods of spreading the Gospel, whether it be through MegaFest or partnering with comedians or Oprah or partnering with whoever he needed to partner with to reach beyond the church.”
Deitrick Haddon also called the show “Good clean television”. Uhhh… This remains to be seen.

Man let these people live if they wanna put there life on blast.. Do it!!
No I actually think they need to show what happens in these mega churches. I think need to see the reality because I feel like alot of them have nothing to do with God, but instead money. If the patrons stops giving “tithes” would they still continue preaching??? Food for Thought!
So many words, so little time. Jesus didn’t die for this.
I really just think they need to draw the line when it comes to reality shows! I really believe they dont need to involve churches, pastors, etc.
