In the new issue of Kontrol Demetria speaks on the ending of House of Payne, being a mother and her new EP “Officially Demetria”.

In The Fabulous At Every Age Issue Demetria tells Kontrol the following about her new EP.

“I wanted to tell my stories my way and show a side of me only my close friends know. When I get into the studio, I’m very mood driven. So if I’m going through [it] with my man, I wanna sing about it.”

“My EP, “Officially Demetria”, is definitely getting back to R&B. Sexy, honest, real, and ME. LOL! Everyone knows the characters I’ve played, but getting to the heart and soul of me and my experiences was the inspiration…” Like her musical tastes she draws inspiration from a number of legendary artists, Whitney Houston., Chaka Khan, Diana Ross, and Mary J. Blige are just a few.
