Fresh off filming the second season of The Rickey Smiley Show, actress and singer Demetria McKinney collaborates with Musiq Soulchild for the heartfelt new duet, “Still Believe in Love.” The song, which acts as the promotional single for the upcoming made-for-TV movie ‘In The Meantime,’ tells the tale of unwavering, unabashed love between two people that experience it for better or for worse.
“Musiq Soulchild is a musical genius, from his knowledge of music, to the energy he brought in the studio, we knew the song would be magical,” shares Demetria. “I’m blessed and honored to have worked with him on this project.”
Demetria is best known for her role as “Janine Payne” on the TBS sitcom “Tyler Perry’s House of Payne.” She will also star in the BET film Let The Church Say Amen directed by Regina King, co-starring Naturi Naughton, Hosea Chanchez and Lela Rochon.
In addition to her acting gigs, McKinney will release a four-song EP this fall under RTD Entertainment. Check out the song and video below:
