“That’s just a lot of responsibility.” ~ Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs
Long gone are the days (for some) where marriage systemically follows falling in love and being committed to one another. These days shacking, open relationships and “love contracts” are no longer taboo in everyday conversation.
When it comes to Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs, his relationship with girlfriend with model/singer Cassie Ventura may not elevate to marriage anytime soon. While some women and even some men may not prefer this method of declaration, apparently it works for them.
Diddy sat down with Andy Cohen on BRAVO’S “Watch What Happens Live!” and touched on why marriage is a “responsibility,” not favoring Kanye West’s defense of Beyonce at this year’s Grammy awards and more:
It’s the whole thing of I think you hafta be ready for it..That’s just a lot of responsibility. I don’t wanna be going to courts and having somebody interfere in my relationship. So I rather just do the Goldie Hawn. I will give a contract. I will commit to a love contract….Honestly; I don’t think I’m ready right now. But I’m a great boyfriend.
On Lee Daniels’ “Empire”:
It’s a plagiarism a little bit [laughs]. No, but Lee Daniels is a friend of mine. I don’t think it has any connection like that. I think it’s a bunch of people’s lives of the music industry.
On Kanye West’s Comments On Beck:
I don’t like it. I feel like you hafta be real and tell the truth. When he did the Beck thing he was really sorry…Sometimes artists they’re very, very vocal…If you want to just go to his house and tell him.
On Jay-Z’s Tidal Receiving Criticism:
I think the criticism is unfair. When you’re started a company — it just takes time. They were jumping on my man like a week later.
On Iggy Azalea’s Color Impacting Hip Hop:
I’m not overly critical because I came from being a producer. Just taking the criticism myself …I feel like no matter where you’re from or what your color that everybody is tryna do their best. You can’t be excluded because of your color.
Cohen and Combs also watched the uncut version of his “3AM” commercial that features Ventura and little side boobage.

Fans of Combs’ fragrance line can expect to see it in stores May 6.
Question of the day?
While opinions will always vary in this manner – do you find it more satisfying to stay committed without marriage and its legalities or does the conventional route provide a sense of peace in your union?
