Drake takes a stab at women’s fashion by introducing a 2015 Women’s Capsule Collection to the Ovo brand. The casual collection features basic pieces and sportswear. The dominant color is black with the occasional white, gold or red accent color. The collection defines the, “sweatpants, hair tied, chillin with no makeup on. That’s when you’re the prettiest, I hope that you don’t take it wrong” verse in his song, Best I Ever had. The clothing line opts for comfort and simplicity, something that Drake is in favor of as per his song. The Capsule Collection remains consistent with the menswear which features sweatpants, T-shirts and fitted caps.
According to the Ovo blog, the line is scheduled to be released in stores on Saturday, November 21st and will be released online on Saturday, November 28th. I don’t see the collection hitting the runway any time soon, but it’s interesting to see how well the line will do once it hits the stores. With the rapper’s very large female fan base, I’m sure he will have no problems selling out the Capsule collection. Take a look at Ovo’s newest addition.
