Jasmine Burke sat down with Ty and had girl talk discussing her character and the love drama we can only anticipate for in Drumline: A New Beat.

Jasmine explains how her character Tasha is a well rounded school girl who is extremely dedicated to her studies and is truly about business. Then she meets Josh who tries to woo her, but then realized after all the games she ends up helping Josh at the end in a way only viewers can anticipate to see. Jasmine explains how the two have a battle to face in the movie because Of their interracial love. Their storyline will be as Jasmine describes the film : exciting, fun, and breath taking.

The two continue to laugh and talk about Jasmines past acting roles, and how they are both excited to see the film. Later Ty ends up speaking with Leonard Roberts.

Now Leonard Roberts is the only cast member from the original who returns, and trust me fans this time you will not want to fight him in this sequel like we all wanted to in the beginning. Leonard expresses his passion for the entire production, cast, and message behind the storyline.

“I constantly have fans coming up to me expressing how much they loved Drumline and how they hated my character in the beginning”

As the two continue to joke about how much fans were angry with his role in the original, Leonard continues to explain how the cast in his words have duty to uphold the name of the original film.

Leonard also gives us an exclusive that him and the beautiful Letoya Lucket’s character were intimate with each other in the past. As he states, “She was the girl who got away for my character.” Needless to say we are exciting to see the two characters storyline in the film.

Later we meet Alexandra Shipp, Letoya Lucket, Jordan Calloway, and Scott Shilston.

They cast were very eager when speaking with Kontrol Magazine about the upcoming film. They explain how the time frame for the movie was extremely intense.
