Gospel elites gathered last night at The Hard Rock Café in Atlanta to kick-off the BMI Awards weekend. It was an exclusive event for press, artists and friends. Gospel giant like Dorinda Clark-Cole and industry dominating newcomer’s like The Walls Group were in attendance. Each year BMI meets to honor the Artists and Songwriters that flood our airwaves, this year’s honorees are The Anointed Pace Sisters. E one is a music distribution powerhouse and is the home to a variety of labels across many genres, which has its own in-house Gospel label. The label has phenomenal artist like Jonathan McReynolds, who stole the night with the performance of a song from his soon coming sophomore album. With his acoustic guitar and smooth voice he captivated the gospel star-studded audience.
Radio One was well presented with On-Air personalities such as KD Bowe of Atlanta’s Inspiration Station 102.5. Other notable attendees were Marica Chisolm or Tyscot, Tash Page-Lockhart of Sunday Best fame, Travis Malloy, Monica Lisa Stevenson and more. With a guest line-up like this you could only imagine the talent that will be present at the BMI Awards Show scheduled for this evening.
