Empire TV Brothers, Jussie Smollet & Bryshere “Yazz” Gray to Perform at Billboard Music Awards!

Empire is one helluva a beast! Not only is it a rating magnet and monster, it has rocketed the careers of everyone involved. Two of its brightest stars are actor/singer, Jussie Smollett (Jamal Lyon) and Bryshere “Yazz” Gray (Hakeem Lyon). These television brothers spent most of Empire’s first season bringing us some new and amazing music song and perform by the actors themselves. I do not think I will ever forget Up All Night and Drip Drop song and performed respectively by Jussie and Yazz. Now it seems like their popularity is so big they have been invited to perform at this year’s Billboard Music Awards! “There’s no way I could possibly love music more than I already do. The Billboard Music Awards has been the epitome of celebrating some of the best of the best in music,” Smollett said. “To be included as a performer on this year’s celebration is a huge honor.”

The Empire stars will perform a medley of two of the show’s biggest hits, Conqueror and You’re So Beautiful. Both songs will performed along with Estelle. As you recall she too made a guest appearance on Empire as “Delphine,” a multi-platinum artist Jamal signed. “My hope is that ‘Conqueror’ will continue to inspire people as much as possible. It’s such a powerful message! I cannot wait to perform it at the Billboard Music Awards with Jussie!” said Estelle This will no doubt be an epic performance! The show’s soundtrack has been so popular that a few singles on circulating on the radio and it beat out Madonna’s latest album in sales its first week! This is something unprecedented for any television show soundtrack. “I’m still living in a dream — the success of Empire and now getting the honor to perform at the Billboard Music Awards. It’s truly a blessing,” Yazz said.

This night of music is set for May 17th so tune in!

Hey Mikey!

WHO AM I? That’s probably what you’re thinking? It’s simple I’m this generation’s “Dear Abby!” I was raised in the Fourth Ward of Atlanta, educated in the School of Hard Knocks, and rescued by the concrete and steel of New York City. Life at best will always be bittersweet. The sooner you accept that, the better off you’ll be. I’d prefer to be on your sweeter side. Everyone needs a listening ear, extra shoulder, and open arms when life gets rough. I’m your new best friend, whe it all goes south remember I’m a mouse click or tweet away. Hang in there kids, you’re gonna love kickin’ it with me!!! -MIKEY
