Tis the season of designer collaborations! And, it’s that time of the year that H&M teams up with a high fashion designer to sale exclusive pieces with affordable prices. And, this year we have ERDEM meets H&M and the details, oh…(gasp), the details are breathtaking!
The hopeless romantic designer Erdem Moralıoğlu has provided mesmerizing looks for both women and men. The women’s fashion designer has created looks for men for the first time ever. Although, this a first for a men’s items, he nailed every piece of clothing. The collaboration was announced in July, items will be available in 220 stores nationwide and online today. Every detail of this launch has ERDEM stamped on it. From the clothing to the graphics and presentation of pieces.
Erdem’s floral pattern and print choices are conservative and risqué, mix-matching each piece gives a sense of country-side life in London meets LA chic. Being a lover of pant-suits, I was completed mesmerized by the jacquard-pattern blazer and matching trousers. Also, Erdem must love everything lace and silk, pieces for H&M include dress of lace and for men, silk blouses. The London based designer is a red-carpet favorite for celebrities such as actresses Thandie Newton, Rashida Jones and much more. His cinematic inspirations of classic Hollywood show in the choice of designs adding depth and extraordinary detail to the collection. In celebration of this collaboration, celebs came out to Caesars Palace in Las Vegas for fashion, music, and fun. Decked out in Erdem x H&M collection celebs Zendaya, Kirsten Dunst, Selma Blair, Shaun Ross and more were red carpet ready.
Fashion meets cinema, because of a cinematic expression in Erdem x H&M collaboration, there was a short film created by filmmaker Baz Luhrmann’s. The short film, ‘The Secret Life of Flowers’ is featured on H&M the website and YouTube. This short film provides a physical visual of the timeless pieces that come to life modeled and utilized by an individual. See trailer below.
