Essence magazine + Ford brought out some of Atlanta’s top influencers. An event filled with good food, music, art and style. The air was filled with much positivity, and love.

If You Were In The Building then You Were In for a Treat. Essence & Ford Sure Know How to Party!
Attendees of this event were given the opportunity to experience a ride and drive in a Ford vehicle of their choice. Kontrol Magazines brand coordinator, Chanel Scales and myself, had the opportunity to ride in a 2017 Mustang, cruising the streets as we learned about the Mustangs super cool technology savvy features.

While sipping on a glass of wine and eating delicious appetizers, attendees had the pleasure of listening to several key panelist.
We were all in for a treat as featured speakers Chef Willie, Melissa Mitchell and Charlene Dunbar talked about entrepreneurship and how it isn’t always about the glitz and glam that everyone sees on social media.

Host Loni Love spoke on stage with the beautiful Kelis, or should I say Chef Kelis. Kelis and Chef Willie were the two responsible for the yummy appetizers for the event.
I was so inspired listening to Kelis as she shared with us that she recently bought a 4 acre farm!
She plans to have her restaurant on a part of the 4 acres, a garden and several different animals.

I think that I can speak for everyone in attendance at My City 4 Ways that this event was nothing short of inspiring.
Everyone has their own journey and their own story. You have to work hard to create the magical lifestyle that you’d like to live.
Social media tends to portray our favorite celebs or influencers lives to ALWAYS be glitz & glam…but leave out the part about the mud that they may have had to crawl through to get to where they are now.
It’s always refreshing to hear entrepreneurs share their “journey to success” stories.
