Event Recap: ‘Same Snob, New Hair Makeover Lounge’

On October 27th, Kontrol’s Editor-in-Chief, Julian Lark, attended the first ever ‘Same Snob, New Hair Makeover Lounge’ hosted by Ming Lee, hair expert and owner of Snoblife Studio, and Susan G. Komen Greater Atlanta. The event was all about enhancing the beauty of women who have won their battle with breast cancer, women who are still fighting their battle and their guests .  They received a full day of complimentary pampering which included manicures, hair styling and makeup, lunch light bites, drinks and gift bags full of beauty goodies.

Snoblife also honored seven survivors – Cati Stone (Executive Director of Komen Atlanta), Tracy Nicole, Traci Little, Trisha Polite, Deborah Hayes, Temaya Eatmon, and Toni Finch, with their “I Pink I Can!” awards. Honorary survivors also received a complimentary custom wig.

This was truly an empowering and high esteemed event with attendance by some of Atlanta notables including Susan G. Komen Greater Atlanta Executive Director – Cati Stone.  Ming Lee, states,  “I am so grateful that Snoblife Studio was able to provide these strong, beautiful ladies a day of pampering, and to see that sparkle in each ladies eye.  As a ‘snob’ you have to uplift other women, and this event was purposed to do just that”

Androgynous anchored with class and splashes of trendy is how I would describe my style with my bottom line style category being boho-chic. I love to challenge myself with new experiences and surrounding myself with positivity. Detroit raised me and Atlanta is grooming me. Sit back and enjoy the ride...I promise you this will be good. http://pinkklipstick.com
