So What’s “Ruby Woo” ?
Ruby Woo is a “matte, vivid blue red” lipstick in MAC’s Shadescents collection. A favorite among those who frequently shop MAC, I fell in love with Ruby Woo at first sight.
Why Ruby Woo?
For years I didn’t like wearing red lipstick because I couldn’t find a shade that I thought looked good with my complexion. They were either way too bright or way too dark and I gave up looking for a while. I actually avoided buying red lipstick.
But then I realized that because I am getting older, it may be time to switch out the purple lipstick for the classy, classic red. So then it was back to the drawing board.
Over the last couple of years, my makeup skills have gotten better, so I am better able to tell which colors will look good on me and which ones won’t (it’s helpful to know your undertones). On my search to find a red, my first stop was the store that takes all my money: MAC. Literally every single one of my lipsticks is from there and I shamelessly go there every chance I get to purchase another lipstick.
And that’s when I saw it. Ruby Woo. A bright red that wasn’t too bright and didn’t look orange or any other color but RED. I had to have it so of course I asked my boyfriend for it this past Christmas.
Ruby Woo is now my signature lipstick. I wear it whenever possible and I get compliments every time. It’s the PERFECT statement lipstick and it stays on even after eating and drinking. I apply it once at the beginning of the day and I don’t have to worry about it again until I get home.
Ruby Woo pops with every skin tone so you don’t have to worry about it not looking good on you. Go ahead and add this treasure to your inventory!
