It’s a big week for Big Sean. Last week, he dropped his third album “Dark Sky Paradise”. The week is complete and we have the numbers for the G.O.O.D Music artist.
Big Sean snatches the #1 album spot from Drake and Kid Rock. Big Sean pushed 173,000 units to give him the crown on the Billboard charts. That is a milestone for the Detroit native as this will be Sean’s first time selling 100,000+ units in his career. His first album, “Finally Famous” moved 87,000 units while his sophomore album “Hall Of Fame” moved a disappointing 72,000 units. Big Sean will be the third G.O.O.D Music artist to produce a number one album next to Kanye’s “Yeezus” and Common’s “Finding Forever”.
Kid Rock came in at No.2 with 146,000 units sold while Drake is still pretty strong capping off his 2nd week with 100,000 units putting him at No.3. Drake’s foes Tyga and Chris Brown debuted their “Fan Of A Fan: The Album” last week which finished with 67,000 units sold its first week. Ouch.
I guess it really is blessings on blessings for Big Sean and Drizzy Drake. “Dark Sky Paradise” is available now at your nearest music sales provider and on iTunes.
