The first week sales are in for the final week of 2014 releases and we have the numbers for Nicki Minaj’s most anticipated and long awaited album, The Pinkprint.
The projections for first weeks sales for The Pinkprint were around 150,000 units. It’s safe to say that Nicki crushed those numbers putting up 244,000 units her first week. Nicki landed the #2 spot on the Billboard charts with those numbers. J. Cole sits on the #4 spot with his 2014 Forest Hills Drive album selling 135,000 in his second week of sales for the holiday.
Taylor Swift reigns victorious as she puts up another big week in sales with her 1989 album selling 375,000 units placing her at the top spot. Taylor is on the verge of taking the highest selling album of the year title from the Frozen Soundtrack next week sitting at a cool 3.36 million copies in total sales.
