Fox Picks Up New Drama Series starring Morris Chestnut!

Morris Chestnut just keeps at it! The serial heart throb gets better with age and keeps climbing the latter of success. The television world is a-buzzing with news of Fox picking up a new drama for its 2015-2016 television line up, Rosewood, starring Mr. Chestnut himself! According to, the series is described as a medical procedural, Morris will play Dr. Beaumont Rosewood, Jr., a gifted pathologist who can read living and dead bodies like a book. Jaina Lee Ortiz will play the cynical female detective he often works with.

The show sounds intriguing, but is reminiscent of Bones, iZombie, Forever and a number of other medical/mystery/drama shows. It will be interesting to see the spin they put on this duo. Side note, did anyone else think racial drama when they heard of the title? Think of the movie Rosewood! Yeah, Fox might never want to go there. Nevertheless, Morris is an amazing actor and I am sure he would not be tied to any project that is a cliche, or one he does not believe in. He is joining Taraji P. Henson and Terrence Howard on Fox, and honestly it is a good look. Lord knows the network, and television in general, could use more diversity. Be sure you tune in! #BlackTVMatters

Hey Mikey!

WHO AM I? That’s probably what you’re thinking? It’s simple I’m this generation’s “Dear Abby!” I was raised in the Fourth Ward of Atlanta, educated in the School of Hard Knocks, and rescued by the concrete and steel of New York City. Life at best will always be bittersweet. The sooner you accept that, the better off you’ll be. I’d prefer to be on your sweeter side. Everyone needs a listening ear, extra shoulder, and open arms when life gets rough. I’m your new best friend, where it all goes south remember I’m a mouse click or tweet away. Hang in there kids, you’re gonna love kickin’ it with me!!! -Michael Jonvier
