Comedian Kevin Hart has come a long way from a successful funny guy to becoming a member of the style crowd. The 5’4 entertainer has been sporting show-stopping looks on the red carpet and editorials ever since his name hit the big time. He’s the short guy standing in the forefront, wearing the Gucci suit that you wish you could have.

Known for his comedy specials and movies such as Ride Along, Think Like A Man, and About Last Night, Kevin is on top right now. Especially as a comedic actor, who’s rubbing elbows with all of the top people in Hollywood. Throughout all of this his success his fashion sense has been getting noticed more and more.

Kevin’s style takes on a dichotomy that is split between being the “suited and booted” guy and being the high-fashion casual wearer. We see him sporting leather jackets, black t-shirts, and dope jeans. He does a lot of black but isn’t afraid to incorporate colors. However, his color-scheme is never vibrant, he goes more for burgundy, olive green, or even mustard yellow. When suited up, he’ll sometimes switch out his dress shoes for high-fashion sneakers.

We can thank his stylist Ashley North for almost all of the great fashion moments that Kevin has had. Ashley is a celebrity stylist who has been working in the business for over 10 years. She’s also a reality star, known for the E!’s WAGS. Her other clients include actor/host Terrence J and British actor Ricky Whittle. Ashley started styling Kevin not too long after his film Soul Plane. Their first job together was for Kevin’s BET show called One Mic Stand.

Since then she’s handled all of his style needs from red carpet events to high-profile appearances, editorial/cover shoots, and even everyday wear. Ashley’s choice outfits for him have gotten him recognition from a lot of publications, sometimes leading to a declaration of “Best Dressed.” She’s also gotten her own recognition from her work with Kevin by BET and Fashion Bomb Daily.

Ashley is responsible for getting Kevin to wear Gucci suits with Ferragamo shoes, Paul Smith and Neil Barrett outfits, Yves Saint Laurent shirts, and Common Project sneakers with a Givenchy suit. She has also expressed that Zara and Urban Outfitters are her go-to stores for him. When dressing Kevin the most important thing that she focuses on is the fit. According to her, almost everything that he wears is fitted by a tailor.

Her most recent public win with Kevin was his outfit at the Jumanji premiere in Los Angeles. She styled him with a Neil Barrett suit and Yves Saint Laurent boots. Simply put, Ashley has done an amazing job with Kevin and we look forward to seeing what the both of them come up with next.
