It is hard to believe it has twenty years since Independence Day hit the Big Screen! Since then we have seen a ton of alien invasion films that are also pretty good, but none can compare to it. Well now the movie that captivated us all has rendered a sequel–Independence Day: Resurgence! The title tells it all as the alien threat to Earth is back–with a vengeance! Not only are they now on Earth, but their fleet is approaching and it is even more massive than city-sized ships and near moon-sized mother ship we remember from the past. It will take a new generation of humanity, strengthened by the alien technology from the first invasion to take them on. Still, will it be enough?

This trailer looks amazing! It is awesome to see members of the original cast like Vivica A. Fox, Bill Pullman,  and Jeff Goldblum. Sadly, Will Smith will not be apart of the film and his character, Captain Steve Hiller, was killed off screen in a 2007 accident. Still,with  new leading men, Jessie Usher (Survivor’s Remorse)and Liam Hemsworth it definitely looks up to the part. There is no word if he is connected to Steve Hiller, but many are assuming it is his stepson via Vivica’s character, Jasmine. We are super excited for this sequel and Summer 2016! Are you?
