#GoodTimes! The Perfect Guy Blogger Dinner!

Atlanta is home to a lot of celebrities, but few of them garner the respect or have the talent of actors, Sanaa Lathan and Michael Ealy. These two amazing people flew straight to The A for dinner with a few of the city’s best bloggers, and to promote their new film The Perfect GuyThe event was hosted by the beautiful and elegant, Egypt Sherrod, of HGTV. Before she began her questions we were shown a special clip of the film that certified this will be a movie we have to see! There, she interviewed both of the stars asking them a myriad of questions surrounding the film. She really got into the “nitty gritty,” as they like to say, of the film. Michael and Sanaa were gracious with their responses, making for an awesome night.

At first glance, you might think The Perfect Guy is a rip off or sem-clone of last year’s No Good Deed starring Taraji P. Henson and Idris Elba. However, after seeing the movie trailer and special clip from the dinner, we were thankfully wrong. The film centers around a love triangle gone awry. Leah Vaughn (Sanaa Lathan) is a successful lobbyist who jumps into a relationship with a charming man, Carter Duncan (Michael Ealy). Their love seems to be perfect, until she begins to learn there is something off about him and subsequently begins to distance herself. Where her ex-boyfriend, Dave (Morris Chestnut), resurfaces and they begin to rekindle their relationship, Carter finds it impossible to let her go.  It becomes a classic case of “If I can’t have you no one else will” as Carter’s love for her becomes dangerous obsession!

You can catch The Perfect Guy  in theaters nationwide, Friday, Septemeber 11th. Check out more pictures from the event below!

Hey Mikey!

WHO AM I? That’s probably what you’re thinking? It’s simple I’m this generation’s “Dear Abby!” I was raised in the Fourth Ward of Atlanta, educated in the School of Hard Knocks, and rescued by the concrete and steel of New York City. Life at best will always be bittersweet. The sooner you accept that, the better off you’ll be. I’d prefer to be on your sweeter side. Everyone needs a listening ear, extra shoulder, and open arms when life gets rough. I’m your new best friend, whe it all goes south remember I’m a mouse click or tweet away. Hang in there kids, you’re gonna love kickin’ it with me!!! -MIKEY
