In a world ruled by social media and online shows, its ironically not always easy finding something worth watching let alone interesting.
Project Runway collaborators and fashion icons Tim Gunn and Heidi Klum have recently launched a new show on Amazon Prime–Making the Cut. Gunn released a preview of the now highly anticipated series via his Instagram page. Think of Making the Cut as Project Runway magnified to a global scale. Heidi and Tim partnered with Amazon to launch, as Tim Gunn said “the next global fashion business.” This is not a drill people!
From what the preview reveals, Making the Cut will feature twelve fashion designers from across the globe. They’ll compete in this major competition for a grand-prize and the offer to produce a collection with global distribution through Amazon. The winner of Making the Cut will receive 1 million dollars and will create a fashion collection that will be available worldwide on Amazon. Additionally, the winning look from each Making the Cut episode will be available in the namesake Making the Cut store.
Featuring appearances from Naomi Campbell and Nichole Richie, this show is clearly full of drama, excitement, and of course style. Its not yet clear if Campbell and Richie are gust judges or have permanent seats on the series. Whatever the case may be, I highly recommend you tune in.
Making the Cut brings an exciting rush of nostalgia. Seeing the clip for the show took me back to my high school days when I was glued to the television and dreaming of securing my own spot in the fashion industry. Officially premiering on March 27th exclusively on Amazon Prime, Making the Cut is sure to capture the attention of viewers everywhere. This is more exciting than I can say in one post.
