Better late than never, I always say. Especially in regards to the announcement that there will be a sequel to the movie that turned Will Smith from a boy to a man: Independence Day!
Word from Deadline is that FOX gave the dumbs up to start production on the sequel to the blockbuster movie. Filming is set to start in May. The release date of the movie (as of now) is June 24th, 2016.
Another 90’s classic blockbuster renewal we can all gobble about at the Thanksgiving table.
