Can you imagine living your life without shoes? For fashionistas and fashionistos, this is a thought that we cannot fathom. However, this life is a reality for many people all over the world. People are suffering from soil inflicted skin diseases because they lack proper protection for their feet. Thankfully this tragedy is not going un-noticed.
I introduce to you, The Shoe That Grows. Founder Kenton Lee was inspired to construct this footwear after witnessing children in Nairobi wearing shoes that were too small for their feet.
The purpose of these shoes to provide children with protection on their feet throughout their young years. The shoes come in two sizes. Small for children in the kindergarten to fourth-grade ages and large for kids in the 5th grade and up ages.
These shoes are lightweight sandals made of rubber, leather, and adjustable snaps that allow the shoe to stretch based on the size of the child’s foot.
When you enter the website, you will hear the people of The Shoe That Grows saying, “We believe in practical compassion.” Inspiring! The people of The Shoe That Grows are examples for us to spread love to the rest of the world. Let us not be selfish lovely people! Use your gifts to help someone in need.
