Steve Madden has teamed up with a few of your favorite celebrities including Iggy Azalea, Keyshia Cole, Kendall and Kylie Jenner and now, rapper Ja Rule can be added to that growing list.

According to Fashion Times, Madden and Ja Rule collaborated on an exclusive men’s footwear collection called Maven x Madden. Men can expect a spring launch for the shoe line.

Ja Rule expressed why he invested his fashion efforts alongside Madden saying:

“I wanted to partner with Steve to create a line that was both stylish and affordable. I love all the styles, but my favorites, I would have to say, are the high-top suede and the high-top dress shoe. The Maven motorcycle-stye boot is something different from anything out there. The key on the front of the shoe represents freedom: freedom to be creative.”

Madden dished briefly on Ja Rule’s creative gene:

“I was shocked at how creative he is. He came to the table with all of these ideas.”

When asked about his favorite track by Ja Rule, Madden cited “New York” being his song of choice.

Now the line will be centered around high-top kicks that comes in five exclusive designs. Check out a pics below:

Last year, during the promotion of her last album on Interscope Records, Keyshia Cole launched her second shoe line with Madden.

Cole’s female driven line consisted of gladiator type sandals, platform heels and more. She wanted her line to appeal to women’s inner “trendsetter” persona:

As my second line with Steve Madden gets released, I want young women to feel they are the latest trendsetters, feeling sexy and being comfortable at the same time.”
