Essence celebrates 6th Annual Years of Black women in Music and lets just say the house was completely filled with extremely talented women. We all know that women have more fun when it comes to the wardrobe aspect of things. Get ready to for the show after the show for here is a flash course of what everyone was seen in while coming together for such a joyous occasion.  

Jill Scott gets honored for all her hard work and soulful music also commemorate the 45th Anniversary of the Magazine. Jill has been in our souls for years “talking us on long walks around the park” to “running across my mind” this honor has just made her iconic. – on paper she’s been an icon for years.

Chaka Khan & her lovely fan not only did she give us chills during her performance, but also her outfit was super laid back & chilled, still super sexy. -and that fan!!!

Following Ms. “Thru the fire” has to be someone special looks it (@4everbrandy) Brandy Norwood and she shows up and showed out in the name of Black Women & Music. – & she looks simply amazing thanks to Stella McCartney.

It wouldn’t be a show without  McLyte has been apart of this thing we’ve come to appreciate  and love #MUSIC for quite some time. Where else would this #HIP-HOP legend be on this super special occasion dedicated to music anyway?
