K. Michelle has officially filled a void in R&B that both Mary J. Blige and Keyshia Cole have passed up. The self proclaimed “Rebel” of R&B is proving to be a heavyweight in the industry. Once the songstress does more features she’ll have a band ready to expand to the next level.
It’s clearly evident that she’s on to something that’s working for both her and her career. Her songs are catchy and filled with an ample amount of soul and passion that’s been missing from music. It’s highly refreshing to hear real R&B again in a time where we once thought the genre was dying.
