With only a few days left for New York’s Fashion Week, great collections are still debuting and turning heads.
The great thing about Fashion Week is not just its appeal to the fashion elite, but it also brings creativity and great ideas for women everywhere.
Take Kati Stern…
The fashion maven is not only skilled as a trained pianist and flamenco dancer, but she’s also stylish guru when it comes to great dresses.
For all of you who may be fans of rock influenced style, Stern’s collection line Venexiana brings that and more. The line is centered on elegant fabrics and tailored embellishments that don’t exactly go overboard in its design.
Stern’s Venexiana line was introduced in 2003. Her line ended up in stores like Neiman Marcus and Saks Fifth Avenue along with other high end retailers. Basically, those coins “gone have to be together” when trying to obtain one of Stern’s designs.
The European born designer has a solid eye for edgy fashion. With that in mind, it’s no wonder that her signature standouts includes courtesan-style corsets, leather, fur, and textured hoes.
For Stern’s collection, she took her visions of glam and gave audiences a preview of Paris Couture type style…well, depending on who you ask. Her gowns not only looked great, but they really spoke to an audience [or buyer(s)] who can appreciate a little flare surrounded by sophistication in the process.
Stern’s floor length dresses with sequin designs and glammed out embellishments look absolutely great. Trust, when a man who may not be the most “hip” to women’s fashion is telling you something looks good…he ain’t lying.
Her line has an exquisite taste with simplicity and nothing overdone. Her gowns appear to give a deep neckline which can be supportive towards women of a slender body type who prefers the dress to speak for itself as opposed to additional accessories.
Overall, Stern’s European roots and rock influenced concepts gives room for a flattery yet, a toned down look of elegance that is inevitable.
