Meet Kimiko Stephens, professional space utilizer and aspiring model. Kimiko sat down with Kontrol Magazine to tell us about her fashion style, her inspiration for modeling, and more insight on her professional organizing business.
How long has Kimiko been modeling? Judging by her stellar photographs, she comes off as a veteran. Her recent photo shoot with Kontrol was her first major shoot in over 6 years. Kimiko shares what inspired her to finally step on to the scene, “I’ve always wanted to [model], it was just a matter of getting rid of the fear and having the courage to step out there and do it.” Kimiko doesn’t have one particular model that she looks up. Watching fashion shows and reading magazine spreads have always motivated her to give modeling a try. “I love the print work, I love the beauty, I love the creativity of it, and how the models just make it look effortless.” Kimiko enjoys magazines like Bazzar and Elle. She describes her style as low maintenance and very natural, like t-shirt & jeans, minimal makeup, and fun accessories. Although her style is clean and chic, she loves taking risks with shoes. “My heels are something I don’t mind taking risks with.” Although Kimiko has the grace to cover high fashion magazines like Elle or Vogue, she is creatively open to all styles of photography sharing I want to keep an open mind. I don’t want to limit myself”.
When Kimiko is not modeling or traveling across the country for work, she is helping home and business owners revitalize their space. Kimiko loves to share her expertise on space organizing to help give people a sense of relief. She shows people how they have more space in their office and homes than they realize. “A lot of people just throw stuff together and are not really utilizing certain rooms. I come in and put my spin on things to give you a functioning space.”
