Well, it’s still winter and the weather in Georgia is still a little iffy. For the most part, [consistent] colder weather has finally set in but there’s still a few days with warmer temperatures that slip through the cracks.
Since my last post/semi-rant on The Jackie Trench, I will say that I am definitely more acclimated to the unpredictable temp changes. The thing is though, I really don’t think you
Just my luck, the day I decided to live on the edge and wear it, turned out to be one of those random 70 degree days. Originally the plan was to wear the vest with a black turtleneck but once I stepped outside, I knew that would probably lead to a heat stroke. I put on the rest of the look and then just put the vest to get an inspiration as to what top to wear but when I looked in the mirror, I loved it just the way it was.
Because of the [invisible] clasps all the way down the front, it didn’t reveal any of my goodies and created a very edgy look. I didn’t want to just be bare underneath however as even with my arms out, I was already a bit toasty meaning I’m sure at some point in the future, the fur would be coming off. I grabbed a nude tank just to kind of blend in and the look was complete. I kept it very simple adding a gold hoop earring to take away from neck space as a necklace definitely wasn’t necessary. I threw on my fave pair of vintage gold rimmed sunglasses and was ready for my day.
Now if you know me, I will always advocate to wear what you want as that this truly how to define your style and it is no different when it comes to pieces like this. Fur in the winter is obviously expected but 70 degree weather is not. Situations like this is when creativity is at its best so live on the edge and get creative when it comes to your clothing. Being able to wear different pieces in different ways throughout the year is also key to maximizing your closet. It is proven that we buy LESS when we can do MORE with what we already have so hopefully this inspires you all to be a little more adventurous with your wardrobes. Also keep in mind winter is the best season to do that since there is so much layering and its almost over. But until then I can’t wait to see what you come up with.
