Call her a money making machine! Reality star turned social media maven-turned clothing designer turned- cosmetic brand Kylie Jenner is racking in the dough!
The 2017 installment of Forbes 30 Under 30 has been released and this year is the sixth year of the coveted list. It includes 30 game changers in 20 industries all under 30 years old– 600 in total — who are challenging the conventional wisdom and rewriting the rules for the next generation of entrepreneurs, entertainers, educators and more (Forbes, 2017) and Kylie Jenner happens to be one of them.
Apart from the celebrities category, most names on the list may not be familiar but it’s well worth the read for inspiration. “This year the competition was more extreme than ever: 15,000+ nominations for just 600 spots. That’s an under 4% acceptance rate; making it harder to get into than the nation’s two most selective colleges, Stanford University (4.8%) and Harvard University (5.2%)” (Forbes, 2017). What’s to be noted is that selected candidates are never repeated which gives everyone applying an opportunity to not get overlooked by someone who’s already been on the list.
Kylie may be the youngest of the Kardashian/Jenner clan but her money is surely grown up. At only 19 the star made $18 million in 2016 alone. Kylie has amassed her wealth due to her Kendall & Kylie clothing line which she shares with her older sister Kendall Jenner and her Kylie Cosmetics line which has sold out in product of every launch. It’s said she made 7 figures in 2016 alone from Kylie Cosmetics and it’s $29 Lip Kits. Kylie Jenner is the second largest earner in her family apart from Kim Kardashian.
Apart from Forbes 30 Under 30 Kylie is also Forbes second Top-Earning Reality Stars–again following after her sister Kim.
