Covid-19 has brought much of the world to a halt; however Paris Fashion Week is still pushing forward in the form of online runway shows, La Metamorphose is among them. The ripples of Covid-19 have been felt across the globe and have forced all of us to make changes and imagine new standards of living, working and creating. La Metamorphose is among the business finding new ways to present their work for the world to view. The fashion sector is but one industry that’s been impacted by Covid-19, forcing fashion week to go online as brands work to find alternative ways to function during the global pandemic. La Metamorphose released the fall/winter 2020/2021 collection to rave reviews. This wildly imaginative work will no doubt set the tone for fashion for the next few seasons to come. Appearing as a part of Paris Online Fashion Week, La Metamorphose is one of many fashion brands working to find new and safe ways to release their collections in light of the Covid-19 pandemic.
One of the fashion collections shown for fall/winter season, La Metamorphose released a collection that was unspeakably fabulous and inspiring. I admittedly get bored looking at some collections and summarizing their seasonal significance, however this isn’t a claim I can make about La Metamorphose. The work done here was inspiring. Fashion magic at its very best.
The La Metamorphose fall/winter 2020 collection released during Paris Online Fashion Week has an aesthetic so intoxicatingly imaginative that it’s stylish potential borderlines on being considered sorcerous if not haunting.
Inspired by the cycles of the Balsamic moon, the designers of La Metamorphose (Ewa and Margaret) opted the Royal Castle of Amboise to serve as the artistic backdrop to shoot their collection. 15 looks stylishly play between the transparency and frill of tulles, embroidered with pearls. The fluidity of silk, chiffon and lace and the shimmering caress of the velvet of a high waist tuxedo suit add a decadent element of luxury to this collection. Its nothing short of amazing.
La Metamorphose is set apart from other collections due to its extreme attention to detail, brooding color-palette, sensuous use of textiles and elaborate garment construction. Each piece is a work of art that compliments the following look, creating a vibrant string of garments that captivate your imagination and hold your attention and leave you breathless until the end.
