Live In The Park was nothing short of amazing to experience. From the moment of stepping in the entire atmosphere was set to a T. As previously informed to wear all white in attendance all guest came with there best white on white to party the night away. Headlining the evening was no other than R&B great Tank with the opening acts of Havok Jones and Kris Kelli.
Once the rising R&B group Havok Jones stepped on stage the ladies wasted no time in winning over the crowd. While performing a string of 90’s hits like “Who Can I Run To” by Xscape these ladies belted out notes we haven’t heard in decades. In a time where live music isn’t so much appreciated it was refreshing to hear actual singers know how to maneuver their vocal ability. Once their set had came to a close a lovely surprise was revealed. The ladies officially been featured on the cover of a local Atlanta based magazine FAME. As the ladies departed from the stage DJ Trauma kept the crowd on their feet bopping to all the hits from the 90’s to present day.
Scanning through the crowd familiar faces scattered through the room like; Peter for Real Housewives of Atlanta, R.L., Jagged Edge, Jason Long, and Columbus Short. After some encouragement both R.L. and Jagged Edge ended up on the stage and performed some of their notable hits that had every attendee singing along. Once the gentlemen finished it was time to then introduce Tank to the stage. As he made his way up screams and cheers covered the room. This was a night where R&B was truly embraces and appreciated again in Atlanta. The feeling was incomparable and a sight to see.
