Katy Perry is looking to make a big splash performing at her first Super Bowl Halftime show. She will have some big acts to follow with Bruno Mars breaking television records at last year’s show with special guest The Red Hot Chili Peppers and Beyoncé breaking power circuits in the Super Dome with the Destiny’s Child reunion in 2013.
Just Like Bruno Mars and Beyoncé, Katy Perry will also be calling on a legendary guest to help heat up football’s biggest event. The pop-star will be calling on groovy-guitarist, rock star Lenny Kravitz. During the New England Patriots and Baltimore Ravens halftime, Perry announced the news. And when asked would her and Kravitz be performing Lenny Kravitz’s hit-song “American Woman” together, she looked deviously into the camera and said “Maybe”. Well, if that wasn’t clear enough. Maybe we will also get a Juicy J appearance for their hit song that was in heavy rotation last summer “Dark Horse” …as long as Juicy J leaves the twerkers at home. I’m sure the NFL doesn’t want another Janet Jackson/Justin Timberlake situation.
The Super Bowl will be held in Glendale, AZ on February 1st.
