What the flux-capacitor? This is when reality TV gets a lil’ too real. This girl Ke$ha is doing the most … once again! For starters, who knew she even had a reality show on MTV, do people even watch it? Or perhaps this kind of shock value is what she may need to acquire viewership? Who knows but here’s how it happened.

On Tuesday’s episode of her MTV special, “KeSha: My Crazy Beautiful Life,” the performer drank her own urine as part of an experimental health regimen she heard about from a friend to get in “kick ass shape” for her “Die Young” music video.

In a clip from the episode, the pop singer says she is willing to try anything to get fit. While riding in an SUV, her friend says her mother knows someone who drinks her urine every day. The “Animal” singer proceeds to pee into a water bottle and then drink the contents.

And here’s what critics had to say …

PTC was not thrilled with the stunt. The group sent out a press release Tuesday ahead of the episode, calling the content “disgusting” and “vile.” PTC President Tim Winter reasoned that this sort of material on TV is reason enough for American citizens to be given the option to pay for only the cable networks they choose — which coincides with legislation introduced by Senator John McCain.

Said Winter in the release:

If given the opportunity, I can’t imagine that parents would want to pay for a cable network that airs an episode of a pop star drinking her own urine, and that is why Congress needs to take seriously the idea of giving consumers the ability to choose and pay for only the cable networks they want.
