Author Cadori came from a large family, so as you can imagine her life has always been busy. She was a sister to 12 other siblings and learned at a very early age to take care of others. Originally from Alabama, Cadori traveled a lot because of work. Her work finally landed her in Houston, TX which is the place she now calls home.
Cadori has always been independent and strong but sometimes in life as luck would have it things don’t always go according to plan. While in between jobs Cadori fell on hard times and was faced with being homeless. This experience changed her life, during her time at the shelter Cadori had to depend on the generosity of strangers. That generosity encouraged Cadori to help others. In 2011 Cadori founded the Dougie’s Kids foundation in remembrance of her late son and later started the Cadori Helping Hands Foundation. Through her work with the foundations, CaDori has provided meals to the less fortunate during Thanksgiving. Additionally, the foundation has donated baby supplies, delivered cleaning and personal care items to families impacted recently by Hurricane Harvey.
Meet the Author
While Cadori loves to help others, she also understands the benefits of taking care of yourself. In her book “Women Put Yourselves First and Be Happier,” Cadori provides inspiration to others on the importance of self-care. One analogy she uses in the book:
“When on an airplane, passengers are instructed to put their own oxygen mask on first before assisting others. She believes it is the same in real life. “
Additionally, Cadori published a cookbook and is working on releasing the second cook book which will include a combination of diverse recipes sprinkled with a touch of love.
