Finally, the funny we’ve all been saving our stomachs for. The “Brothers-in-law” are back and bringing more than just humor with them. Get ready for the action-packed, laugh-attack movie of the season as James (Ice Cube) and his side-kick Ben (Kevin Hart) take their talents to South Beach to wreak havoc on a Government-sponsored drug lord in the sequel, Ride Along 2. Kontrol x HeyMikeyATL had front row seats to the V.I.P screening of the debut film at Atlantic Station’s Regal Cinema 16.
As you know, black Hollywood brought out the stars for the premiere of Tim Story’s film at the Regal Theater located in Atlantic Station. Everybody from Mayor Kasim Reed and Councilmen Kwanza Hall to reality television stars like Stevie J., Porsha Williams, and Demetria McKinney ( just to name a few) showed up for the screening of the film.
Before the movie got started, Director Tim Story came out to show the star-studded crowd love and gratitude and also brought along two special guest: stars of the featured film Sherri Shepard and Tika Sumpter.
As far as the film goes, I wasn’t a fan of the first Ride Along, but the second installment definitely had my attention from start to finish. This film definitely took the action part as serious as the comedy. From the high-speed car chases, to the Wild West shoot-outs, and even a few tear-jerking moments, you will definitely be on the edge of your seat trying not to die from a massive heart-attack while burning abs from the hilarious exchanges between Ben, James, and AJ (Ken Jeong). Overall all, this film would be a safe pick for a couple night out or just a weekend movie night with the squad. This film gives you an equal amount of laughter, action, and suspense which provides something intriguing for everybody.
