Little did I know that Baggage Claim was actually a book written by David E Talbert in 2008 before hitting the big screen today. While at the press junket, David said that Montana Moore is his favorite character to date and that he knew he wanted to Paula Patton to play the part. He described her as Reese Witherspoon/Jennifer Anniston/Julia Roberts rolled up into one. “She’s a burst of sunshine.”
Well, when Paula read the book, she too knew she wanted to play the lead and romantic comedies are “just feel goods.” Look at God! Everything worked out and it was Paula who sold everyone on participating in the movie. When I tell you “all” of Black Hollywood is in this… Jennifer Lewis, Boris Kodjoe, Derek Luke, Tia Mowry-Hardrict, Trey Songz, LaLa, Lauren London, Dijmon Hounson, Jill Scott, Taye Digg, Terrance J just to name a few. David stated that is was a dream cast, he wanted to get the best and the brightest and they delivered.
Pledging to keep herself from being the oldest and the only woman in her entire family never to wed, Montana embarks on a thirty-day, thirty-thousand-mile expedition to charm a potential suitor into becoming her fiancé.
Make sure you support Black Hollywood and see the film which is out today everywhere! You won’t be disappointed!
