Goapele debuted her new single ‘Hey Boy’, an up beat tune perfect for a backyard summer shindig, or family reunion at the nearest national park. Goapele’s airy vocals are the perfect retreat to summers heat, serving nothing but good vibes. In an interview with Essence.com she said, “I wanted to do my version of an up tempo song this time around—-something fun to perform and dance to”. ‘Hey Boy’ is definitely a track one can diddy bop to. Co-Written By Estelle, the track is the first single from Goapele’s upcoming album, ‘Strong as Glass’.
Between Goapele and Ms. Aiko the summer is starting to shape up into a great era for the music industry. Both artists have given us sultry, and coy tunes playing on everyone’s love of love. Goapele also said, “I sung my heart out on this project and I got to work with producers & writers that pushed me as an artist”.
