Elle Varner ain’t checkin’ for ya man Boo Boo Kitty…
Elle Varner has been able to successfully bring great music to her growing catalog of songs. Everything from “F—k It All” to “Refill,” Vaner rarely disappoints. On top of that, she looks good with a sultry voice to add.
Varner released a new track called “Where Your Man Is.” Her story is pretty simple— keep up with your own man cause “she don’t want em’.” The title can motivate listeners to evaluate just how “solid” their relationship is with who they’re currently committed to. It can also play off insecurities believing that the “man” may not be the most faithful. As if us fellas could use another song that denotes the “good ones” are far, few and non-existent.
The club sounding track has a vocal arrangement that gives sophistication but still listenable at a house party, lounge or the “ratchet” scenery of nightclub.
With lyrics like:
Now, I don’t want no problems
I don’t need no issues
Well honey, if you really love him then I’ll pass you tissues
Don’t know how he got my number and asking me to dinner
But I only f—k with winners so I never even hit him
Now I am not a psychic but he probably with a side chick
In Miami or Atlanta and you bet that sh-t on silent
Now you got all these questions and wish you had some answers
But my guess he’s up in king of diamonds with some dancers

Review: Again, Varner doesn’t disappoint with her delivery, lyrics and everything else in between. What really stands out is how the melody of the lyrics is projected. “Where Your Man Is” is a cool and encouraging song for women who may need to keep a closer eye on their men.
However, if it requires more investigating than actually enjoying the relationship—women may have bigger problems. #IJS
